🗨️ Maria T. WE305

I can practice fidelity just as how the people significant to me have shown fidelity and love.

To belong is to communicate and build relationships.

My vocation is safe in the hands of God,
as long as I continue to grow loving relationships.

I can choose to belong to someone
and allow others to belong to me.
I can be open or closed to relationships.
Fidelity is more than just not cheating in relationships.

Relearn the meaning / how to love,

Besides God, we belong to others,

What is my game, and how it affects others and myself.

“Being a Sunday catholic and healing from the end of a relationship of 6 years. I was searching for answers and a chance to be closer to God. A friend in church invited me to Choice weekend. I signed up without expectations and an open mind. It turned out to be a life-changing weekend for me. After hearing each other’s stories, realizing that I was not alone in this journey. This retreat really opened my heart to realizing that in order to love God and myself I need to love others around me. Choice is for anyone looking to be closer to God. Be prepared to be deeply engaged, in mind and heart.”

“CHOICE allowed me to be honest with myself, to reflect, to appreciate and to inspect the relationship that I have with the significant people in my life. It allowed me to dig deeper into my relationship and to encourage me to make an effort to mend that before it is too late.

During CHOICE, I learnt that “relationship is a decision”. I am the one who get to decide who I want to love and who I want to belong to. I understood that relationship requires an effort, what kind of relationship and how close I want my relationship be with the significant people in my life will depend on my action.”

“I like to think that my participation in CHOICE earlier this year was my choice and the grace of God acting together.

While the topics covered were not entirely new to me – if you attend human formation sessions or talks on psycho-spirituality much of what is presented may feel familiar. But sometimes crucial messages need repetition before they finally sink in.

Now, months after my retreat, I have a greater sense of understanding (and acceptance) of myself as I am right now (especially in terms of my state of life), my relationship with those closest to me and my relationship with God. I feel I have also gained some clarity on how I could integrate different aspects of myself and live a meaningful life, true to who I have been created to be. I am especially grateful that there is a sense of community and belonging, with new friendships blossoming over reflection sessions, board games and outings. (SX Mar 2022)”
